Dr Josh McCarthy is a gastroenterologist and hepatologist who grew up in the Port Macquarie region. He completed his medical degree at the University of Newcastle and advanced training across Port Macquarie, Lismore, Sydney, and Newcastle, including an endoscopy fellowship at John Hunter Hospital where he continues as a staff specialist.
